First time booking a yacht in Goa and not sure what to pack, who’s allowed on board, or whether you can bring your own drinks? Here’s what to actually expect.
How many people can a yacht in Goa accommodate?
It depends entirely on the vessel. Our smaller private yachts comfortably seat 6 to 10 guests, while larger party yachts go up to 15 or more. If you’re booking a dinner or sunset cruise rather than a private charter, capacity is much higher — some of our cruise boats carry over 100 guests on a shared-seating basis. Always check the specific yacht’s listed capacity before booking, since it varies a lot across the fleet.
What should I wear on a yacht in Goa?
There’s no fixed dress code, but comfort and practicality matter more than you’d think. Flat, non-slip shoes (or none at all — most of our decks are barefoot-friendly) work better than heels or flip-flops that can slide on a wet deck. Light, breathable clothing suits the sea breeze, and swimwear underneath is a good idea if you want to use the water toys or jump in. Bring a light jacket for sunset cruises — it cools down fast once the sun’s gone.
Are children allowed on yachts in Goa?
Generally yes — many of our bookings are family celebrations. That said, age limits and safety requirements can vary by yacht, especially for younger children around water toys or the swim platform. Mention the ages of any kids in your group when you enquire, and our team will confirm what’s suitable for that specific vessel and flag anything you should bring, like a life jacket in the right size.
Is alcohol allowed on a private yacht in Goa?
Policies can differ from yacht to yacht, so this is one to confirm directly with our team when you book rather than assume. If you’re planning a celebration that includes alcohol, let us know at the time of enquiry — we’ll tell you exactly what’s allowed on your chosen vessel and whether there are any restrictions tied to the route or time of day.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Most of our yachts come with mineral water, ice, and soft drinks included, and several of our packages offer catering or a private chef as an add-on if you want a full meal on board. Bringing your own snacks or a cake for a celebration is usually fine — just flag it in advance so the crew can plan deck space and timing around it. For anything beyond that, check with our team when you book.
